Color of diamond is evaluated by a conventional scale from D to Z, where D is almost perfectly colorless stone, and Z is very yellow. Usually lower quality (N - Z) diamonds are not used in jewelry.

Clarity

Diamonds may not be completely clear. They may contain different impurities, usually invisible to naked eye. These natural impurities can be both internal and external (on surface). As lesser of those, as  harder and more valuable is diamond.

Cut

Cutting the diamond brings it to its actual brilliance. This is the only property from the four C’s of diamond, which depends on human hand. Special formulas have been developed by which diamonds are cut and polished in order to achieve maximum light reflectance.
